Welcome to our club
We have a busy schedule planned for the year ahead with plenty of social events and are confident that 2019 will be another enjoyable, exciting and successful year. I do hope that you will manage along to many of our events and enjoy your tennis at Lomond Park.
We are always open to new members of all standards. We offer the opportunity to get involved in competitive league tennis for those who want it, alongside a very active social tennis element and everything in between! And with 5 top quality courts and a teriffic practice area, you will always be able to play and take advantage of our excellent facilities.
You will be immediately impressed by the friendly and welcoming atmosphere at our Club. And alongside all these benefits, our subscriptions offer fantastic value for money!
The social and events calendar has been produced for the year ahead and you can access a copy by clicking this link.
Members will receive an email at the beginning of each month with news and reminders of forthcoming events in the following month.
Please check the website and noticeboards as these will be updated regularly.
If you are able to help with any of the events please contact any of the committee members.
Your help will be gratefully received whether it be baking, barbecuing or helping out with one of our social tournaments.
We are planning another full programme this year. There will be 4 Men's teams, 3 Ladies' teams and 7 junior teams entered in the East of Scotland leagues which run from April through to June.
Men's practice nights take place every Monday night from 6.30pm and Ladies' practice nights take place every Tuesday from 6.30 pm.
We are always looking for fresh and new talent so if you are interested in playing for any of the teams, please make contact using one of the email addresses above or come along to any of the practice nights which will begin in early March. You will be most welcome.
More information can be found in the Adult and Junior sections of the website.
Our coach is Jamie Verhaere who is a fully licensed UKCC Level 4 Senior Tennis Coach. Through his All Set Tennis brand Jamie continues to run a variety of programmes for the club. Please see the coaching section for more details. He is also available for private group and individual lessons from beginners through to advanced players.
History of Our Club
At the time of our centenary, one of our members, Clive Garlick, very kindly produced a book on the history of our Club. This is a fascinating read and you can download a copy of this via the Club History section of this site.
Our Wimbledon ballot will be held at approx 4pm on Sunday 28th April following the conclusion of our Hart Cup social tournament. All members who are eligible having opted in on the LTA website by the deadline of 22nd February 2019 will be contacted in advance of the ballot with further details.
Subscriptions for the 2019/20 season become due at the beginning of March and details will be emailed to all members in advance.
I hope we all have an enjoyable year of tennis and if you have any queries, please feel free to get in touch with me or any of our Committee members
